       On December 30, the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) issued a notice adjusting the submission methods for application and review materials for testing and calibration laboratories, effective January 1, 2025. Details are as follows:

 

Notice on Adjusting the Submission Methods for Application and Review Materials for Testing and Calibration Laboratories

 

       To relevant laboratories and assessors: In order to improve work efficiency and enhance service effectiveness, after thorough discussion and verification, the CNAS Secretariat has decided to adjust the submission methods for application and review materials for testing and calibration laboratories. The relevant matters are notified as follows: I. Scope of Application 1. Laboratories applying for accreditation and those already accredited for testing and calibration; 2. Accreditation assessment teams for testing and calibration laboratories. II. Submission Methods for Various Materials Based on the structured functions already implemented in the business system, the submission method for some materials will be changed from paper to electronic versions, see Attachment 1 for details. The electronic materials submitted by laboratories and assessment teams should be authentic and traceable, ensuring that the submitted electronic materials and paper materials have the same legal effect. The above adjustments will be implemented from January 1, 2025. This notice is hereby issued.
