Major News! CCC Certification for Household and Similar Appliances Now Implements New Standards!

       By July 31, 2026, certification applicants may voluntarily choose to apply for certification according to the new or old standard; from August 1, 2026, our center will use the new standard to implement certification and issue new standard certification certificates.

       (2) For products that have already obtained mandatory certification under the old standard, holders of old standard certification certificates may submit applications to our center for conversion to new standard certification certificates from the date of this notice, and complete product confirmation and certificate replacement according to the new standard after the standard implementation date and before the end of the first follow-up inspection. The main differences and test requirements between the old and new standards shall be implemented in accordance with the "Technical Resolution on the Implementation of Standard Version Change Certification for Household and Similar Purpose Equipment (TC04-2025-01)" of the TC04 Technical Expert Group of CNCA (see Appendix 1). The conversion of old standard certification certificates should be completed before July 31, 2027. Our center will suspend old standard certification certificates that have not been converted by the deadline; and revoke old standard certification certificates that have not completed the certificate conversion by October 31, 2027.

       (3) For certified products that have been manufactured, put on the market, and are no longer produced before August 1, 2026, certificate conversion is not required.

       II. Requirements for GB 4343.1-2024 Standard Version Change

       (1) From the date of this notice to May 31, 2026, certification applicants may voluntarily choose to apply for certification according to the new or old standard; from June 1, 2026, our center will use the new standard to implement certification and issue new standard certification certificates.

       (2) For products that have already obtained mandatory certification under the old standard, holders of old standard certification certificates may submit applications to our center for conversion to new standard certification certificates from the date of this notice, and complete product confirmation according to the new standard after the standard implementation date and before the end of the first follow-up inspection. If necessary, after supplementing the differences between the old and new standards, a new standard certification certificate will be issued. The main differences and test requirements between the old and new standards shall be implemented in accordance with the "Technical Resolution on the Implementation of GB 4343.1-2024 Standard Version Change Certification" of the TC10 Technical Expert Group of CNCA (see Appendix 2). The conversion of old standard certification certificates should be completed before May 31, 2027. Our center will suspend old standard certification certificates that have not been converted by the deadline; and revoke old standard certification certificates that have not completed the certificate conversion by August 31, 2027.

       (3) For certified products that have been manufactured, put on the market, and are no longer produced before June 1, 2026, certificate conversion is not required.

       III. Other Notes

       (1) The requirements of this notice for the implementation of the new standard for CCC certification of household and similar-use electrical appliances do not exempt the relevant products from their responsibilities under the "Standardization Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Product Quality Law of the People's Republic of China". Relevant manufacturers are requested to formulate reasonable product production and sales plans in accordance with the law and regulations.

       (2) For evaporative cold air fans and portable induction cookers, from the date of this notice to July 31, 2026, certification applicants may voluntarily choose to apply for certification according to the new or old standard. From August 1, 2026, our center will use the new standard to implement certification and issue new standard certification certificates. The application for certification using the new standard is described as follows:

       1. The standard for the implementation of evaporative cold air fan certification is GB/T 4706.115-2024, and GB4706.27 is no longer used for certification. The product category is electric fan (product category code 0702).

       2. The standard for the implementation of portable induction cooker certification is GB/T 4706.14-2024, and GB4706.29 is no longer used for certification.

       For portable induction cooker products with GB4706.1 and GB4706.29 as the certification basis standard and evaporative cold air fan products with GB4706.1 and GB4706.27 as the certification basis standard, the standard version change shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of Announcement No. 29 of 2024 of the CNCA "Announcement of the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment on Clarifying the Relevant Work Requirements for the Change of Mandatory Product Certification Standards for Household and Similar-Use Equipment" and the "Technical Resolution on the Implementation of Standard Version Change Certification for Household and Similar Purpose Equipment" (TC04-2025-01).

       IV. Reporting Requirements for Testing Capabilities

       Relevant laboratories should promptly report to our center on their testing capabilities under the new standard and promptly file records of their passing of the new standard laboratory accreditation and approval.
